I'll be visiting your fair city this weekend, and would love to join in on any hoop happenings. What's going on this weekend? Also, can anyone recommend any raw or vegan restaurants?

Mer, you suggested the Cherry Blossoms and the image of being crushed by the stampeding tourists came to the front of my mind... ;) They are here in droves.
Depending on the day, the drum circle at meridian Park was wonderful for hooping a couple of weeks back, but it doesnt start until mid to late afternoon on Sundays. Hooping near the Potomac sounds lovely...

Anyone have an opinion about where to meet? Meridian Park works really well for me, but it could be fun to brave the tourists :)

1351 U Street NW (between 13 and 14)
-apparently it is very close to Maggie Moos, we enter from the back alley accessible from U street.
The space is usually used for Capoeira. Apparently it has semi-high ceilings but probably not enough for tosses. Bring CDs that you want to listen to it doesn't sound like they have an ipod hook-up.
they are charging a small fee. donations to the space appreciated, i will cover the rest.
