indoor/ winter hooping

Has anyone found good indoor space for hooping in DC? It would be great to have a spot where we could meet up for jams during the winter. Even though I am new to town and don't know many of you yet. I would potentially be willing to be the coordinator of this project.

I have found a private gym that i am going to join by my house which has a really beautiful group fitness space that I will likely mostly be practing in. However, I am interested in manifesting a regular opportunity for hoopers in DC to come together as a community and learn and dance together.

Ideal location would include the following characteristics
- Less than $20 per hour
-Large space that could accomodate 10-20 hoop dancers
- Hard wood or concrete flooring
-Mirrors
-Sound system

In my limited time here, I don't get the sense that our community could support a weekly practice session. Perhaps we could shoot for bi-monthly or monthly.

I am eager to learn if you have done this in the past and what you learned from that experience?

I'm going to work on getting one set up at Joe's Movement Emporium in Mt. Rainier. If that doesn't work out, then perhaps the YMCA in downtown DC (on 17th and Rhode Island)? Suggestions are welcome--I'll start checking them out.
