~Hello beautiful hoopers~
I am teaching 2 beginner/intermediate hoop classes at Contradiction Dance (contradictiondance.com/) this month, and I would love to spin with you! Hooping can be a great way to relax, but finding a warm indoor space can be a challenge in the winter months. Not only are these Sunday classes inside, but the space is heated and has wall to ceiling mirrors! Shake and shimmy off those winter blahs and come hoop it up - your body will love you for it.
Hoops will be provided for those of you who do not have one, and you will have the option of purchasing or ordering one if you like. Even if you have never hooped before, I invite you to come check out these classes and see what you think.
Some of the topics covered in the 2 January classes will be basic waist hooping in both directions, lifts, jump throughs and step outs, breaks, reverses, and off body hooping. We'll also be discussing how hooping can be a form of meditation, as well as opening up ourselves to creating bliss inside and outside the hoop. You will have time to ask me any questions you might have and I will do my best to shed some light!

I can't take this inside winter hooping weather anymore, and I think our area could use some more regular meet ups. I'd love some space to streatch out and practice more often, too. I'll keep you posted! -

Contradiction Dance still offers hoop classes every Sunday (and I believe are going to start offering them on mondays as well!). If that location is close enough to you, give them a call and check it out. :)
As far as casual jams and an indoor space - I'll do my best to keep this tribe updated with any news for the Virginia area. And if i teach any more classes i will post up about that, too.
