I don't think I'm doing anything that weekend. I've only been hooping for a few months though. Lets see if we can get a hoop jam happening.

Yay! Let's hoop. I'll be around that weekend. Fire hooping? Non-fire? I can organize if you want--I can post an announcement to the DC Burners and DC Fireflies listserves and maybe help secure a location. Lemme know...

Sounds great...I'd love to see fire hooping...never done it, but it looks awesome. Keep me updated on the location. Where do you all usually hoop it up?

hi everyone, i just heard about Playa Del Fuego happening that weekend, so I think I have decided to procrastinate on unpacking my boxes and go to Delaware. Anyone else going? I am also potentially looking for a rideshare out there. Leaving Friday after work and coming home on Sunday. Anyone, anyone?

As for a hoop meet-up. I can't wait to meet all of you. Fire- YES!! Non-fire - YES!!

I just moved from San Fran about a month ago. I would love to hoop al fresco this weekend when I finally emerge from the library and can hoop outside of my living room.

I'll be watching for details. Sunday?

By the way, does anyone know where to get tubing in these parts?

I found my tubing at Lowes. They have a minimal selection, but if you go early in the morning you can usually find what you are looking for. I've gotten PSI 160 3/4 inch tubing there and 125 PSI 1/2 inch tubing also. They always have the cupplings to go with the tubing for attachment.

Good luck! Was a location decided for the Hoop jam? I can do Saturday.

Thanks for the tip - I trekked out to Lowe's today and got me some tubing. The only thing was - they had no pipe fittings!! Neither did Home Depot or the 2 hardware stores near my house. WTF, If I believed in God I would think he didn't want me to make a sparkley new pink camoflage hoop.

Any tips on pipe fitting or do I have to resort to the world wide net?

Since no one has mentioned an exact location, how about Fort Hunt Park on Saturday October 6. There is a ton of open space it's located right off the GW parkway about 3 miles north of Mount Vernon. Times? Let me know what you think? Just a thought...

Happy Birthday! I'm not sure if there are outlet plugs there to hook up speakers. I need to buy a new player CD/IPod/something soon because I've been jammin to nothing. I'll bring a portable player if you can bring some CDs. I have "nature" tunes from Target, but nothing too exciting or upbeat.

Great time you picked, see you and hopefully others too at 11 :) Erin
